    Dinner Plans: Week 15

It's Week 15 of Dinner Plans and we're making headway on the garden plans!

We are just about done migrating the near 15 cubic yards of wood chips to every nook and cranny in the front and backyard garden space. That was quite the job but I'm so grateful we could manage it. Seedlings are sprouting and I can't help it but I'm sowing more tomato seeds this weekend too. The portable greenhouse is also working well.

    Dinner Plans for Week 15

This week I'm keeping a keener eye on the pantry clear out as we've got a variety of flours to cook through and dried beans that deserve to be enjoyed. I might make a quiche for ready made breakfasts using the chard. I'm also heading to the farmers market for pea sprouts, radishes, asparagus, artichokes, and English shelling peas.

Here’s what else caught my attention in our CSA box, Good Pantry Haul, and the fridge, freezer, and pantry this week:

    • Purple Carrots
    • Green Garlic
    • Frisée
    • Little Gems
    • Butternut Squash
    • Red Chard
    • Radishes
    • Potatoes
    • Asparagus
    • Broccoli Rabe
    • English Shelling Peas
    • Whole Chicken
    • Beef Shanks
    • Cabbage

Our Game Plan for Dinner this Week:

Sunday: Braised Beef Shanks over Herby Polenta (using this recipe and this recipe)

Monday: Tostadas with Refried Beans, Chorizo, and Diced Potatoes

Tuesday: Grilled Shrimp Tacos with Fresh Pico de Gallo

Wednesday: Dry Brined Herbed Roast Chicken with Spring Salad in Yuzu Vinaigrette

Thursday: Miso Glazed Salmon with Cabbage, Green Garlic, and Scallion Pancakes

Friday: Pasta with Carrot Top Pesto, Peas, and Carrots

Saturday: Pizza with Shaved Asparagus, Lardons, Toma Provence, a Spinach and Arugula Pesto, and topped with a lightly dressed frisée salad with a preserved lemon vinaigrette

From favorite recipes to new meal ideas using a wide variety of ingredients, cooking delicious food with our CSA definitely gets us out of a dinner rut while reducing food waste. I share meal ideas for our busy weeks with our weekly newsletter. Subscribe to our weekly newsletter to be in the know when they’re live. 😉
