It’s Week 45 of Dinner Plans and we’re prepping for the holiday cooking season!
We enjoyed our first Halloween in Napa as a family and I was excited for the ways neighbors enthusiastically passed out candy and got into the festive spirit. Having wrapped up our Dia de Los Muertos celebrations, too, our attention now turns to all the holiday prep ahead. I stocked up on store bought pie dough from DuFour as it’s only available in November and December. I like to have store bought pie dough at the ready for dinners and easy entertaining. This is the best store bought version I’ve come across for quiche, pie, and more. It’s on sale this week so stock up!
DINNER PLANS FOR THE WEEK
This week we picked up our Riverdog Farm and share and I was thrilled for a few new veggies and loads of leafy greens for our own DIY salad mix. Here’s a list of the fruits and vegetables we received:
Riverdog Farm:
- Heirloom tomatoes
- Spinach
- Bok choy
- Green Beans
- Parsley
- Acorn squash
The weather has turned a bit cooler now and some comfort meals make their way back to our weekly menus. From soups and risottos to my favorite gnocchi version, Cooking with Our CSA is turning the page to the cozy comforts of autumn dinners.
Here is our game plan for dinner this week:
