It’s time for Dinner Plans: Week 10 and we’re skipping the CSA pickup this week. Last week we stocked up on produce at the farmer’s market and still have a bunch left so we skipped our CSA pickup this week. Last week, the farm was snowed in so we didn’t have a pickup; nevertheless, we were able to shop the seasonal produce at the Claremont Farmers Market and it was so great to see what is in season across all our local farms.
I picked up some gorgeous Napa cabbage from Weiser Family Farms and have started the process to make kimchi. It should be ready in a couple of weeks. We have potatoes left over along with the broccolini, red cabbage, and a bit of the mushrooms. I’m thinking of risotto to finish off the mushrooms, a pasta dish to use up the last of the broccolini, and caramelizing the cabbage. Here is our game plan for dinners this week:
Sunday: Mushroom Risotto (recipe test)
Monday: Caramelized Cabbage and Onion Tart (Recipe test)
Tuesday: Chilaquiles (recipe test)
Wednesday: Crispy Marinated Tofu with Veggie Stir Fry
Thursday: Tuna Onigiri from Christie at Home
Friday: Parmesan Crusted Halibut (recipe test)
Saturday: Detroit Style Pizza with Pepperoni and Pepperonicinis
Wishing you a nourishing week! ❤️
