It’s Week 5 of Dinner Plans and we are reveling in all the winter produce!
My sister’s friend has a blood orange tree and the harvest has been unreal! They’re currently sitting on my countertop, their floral fragrance perfume the corner where I do most of our meal prep. When my favorite fruits and veggies come back in season I’m reminded of just how delicious seasonal cooking really can be. One of my favorite bakes this time of year is my Blood Orange and Raspberry Yogurt Loaf Cake. If you love blood oranges as much as I do, this is a cake worth making.
Dinner Plans for the Week
We skipped the CSA delivery this week as we still have quite a bit of vegetables to cook through. With butternut squash, roasted squash, and loads of winter greens remaining, we’re finding our way to use everything up before the next delivery.
Our Game Plan for Dinner this Week:
Sunday: Simple Beef Chili
Monday: Tomato & Rice Soup
Tuesday: Sopes with Refried Beans, and Sauteed Lion’s Mane, Onions, and Jalapeños
Wednesday: One Pot Beef Stew
Thursday: Turkey Chili with Jalapeño Cheddar Biscuits
Friday: Roast Butternut Squash & Farro Salad
Saturday: Pizza with Fontina, Caramelized Onion Jam, and Mushrooms
From favorite recipes to new things with a wide variety of ingredients, cooking delicious food with our CSA definitely gets us out of a dinner rut and reduce food waste. I share meal ideas for our busy weeks with our weekly newsletter. Subscribe to our weekly newsletter to be in the know when they’re live. 😉
Wishing you a nourishing week ahead. 🧡
