Dinner Plans: Week 37

It’s Week 37 of Dinner Plans and we’re swimming in all the late summer fruits!

When we moved to our home here in Napa I discovered we have a few fruit trees. Peaches, Asian pears, and figs were all ripening when we arrived. This weekend I picked more than 30 pounds of peaches! I’ve got lots of plans for them that include this compote which I’ll gift to our new neighbors.

For the figs, I’ll make my favorite jam and try my hand at a focaccia recipe California Grown shared on Threads. Excited to enjoy the fruits of our backyard garden.

DINNER PLANS FOR THE WEEK

We’re gearing up for a trip back to SoCal this week to visit family. I’m excited though hopeful it’ll cool down just slightly before we get there. My parents have offered to take the kiddos for the weekend which means my husband and I will have a couple days to enjoy for ourselves. I’ve made dinner reservations at a couple places I’ve been wanting to try. I can’t wait!

Here is our game plan for dinner this week:

Sunday: Sunday Lasagna with Roast Early Girl Tomato Sauce

Monday: Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad with Parmesan Herb Breadcrumbs

Tuesday: Chilaquiles Verdes or these Sopes

Wednesday: Herb Roasted Chicken with Maple Roast Delicata Squash

Thursday: One Pot Orzo with Tomatoes and Corn

Friday: Sushi Dinner Out in Claremont

Saturday: Dinner Reservations at Perle in Pasadena ❤️

From favorite recipes to new things with a wide variety of ingredients, cooking delicious food with our CSA definitely gets us out of a dinner rut and reduce food waste. I share meal ideas for our busy weeks with our weekly newsletter. Subscribe to our weekly newsletter to be in the know when they’re live. 😉

Cheers to a nourishing week. ❤️
