    Dinner Plans: Week 27

It's Week 27 of Dinner Plans and we're enjoying the abundant variety in the box we picked up today!

This week's CSA delivery is bringing us lots of goodies. We've got more garlic scapes, I picked up more fava beans for a couple more recipe tests, and an abundance of leafy greens for summer salads. We also saw more radishes, fennel, and cauliflower this week making for lots of dinner ideas for the week ahead. You gotta love summer produce!

    Seasonal Cooking Tip: Pickling Cucumbers

This week we saw a small bunch of marketmore cucumbers in our box and I absolutely love these for pickling. They make a great addition to those summertime burgers and sandwiches! So when I don't think I'll use them up by week's end, I make a batch of Refrigerator Pickles. I will also do the same with red onion and will try carrots next, too.

See Part I and Part II of my Pantry Essentials Series for more tips and recommendations for keeping a well stocked pantry no matter what size pantry you have.

    Dinner Plans for the Week

Today we have more fava beans and garlic scapes which have been so good in a variety of dishes we're making at home! Checking the list on Sage Mountain Farm's website for what we're getting in our boxes this week helps me to shop our pantry, fridge, and freezer in order to plan meals on Sunday. With the 4th of July Holiday on deck for this week, we're all about summer time grilling so tonight it's smash burgers and hot dogs for the 4th.

For several of the meal ideas down below, I'm writing up the recipes this week and aim to get them on the blog soon. Subscribe to our weekly newsletter to be in the know when they're live. 😉

Here is our game plan for dinner this week:

Sunday: Summer Smash Burgers with Garlic Parsley Fries

    Monday: Buffalo Cauliflower Tacos

Tuesday: 4th of July BBQ at my parents ❤️

Wednesday: Grilled Halibut or Cod with Sautéed Broccoli Greens and Miso Roasted Radishes

Thursday: Fava Bean Falafels (recipe test)

Friday: Baja Fish Tacos with Fresh Pico de Gallo (final recipe test)

Saturday: Pizza with Garlic Scape Pesto, Burrata, and Prosciutto

Cheers to a nourishing week. ❤️

Meal planning is made more delicious with a table of seasonal produce. Featured here are garlic scapes, purple garlic, fennel, cucumber
